GLP-1 Sterile Injections
GLP-1 therapy is an effective treatment for obesity. In America, approximately 42% of adults have obesity, and more than one in ten adults have severe obesity. This translates to roughly 100 million adults with obesity and over 22 million with severe obesity. In the United States it is an epidemic. Obesity is linked to numerous chronic diseases, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, and certain types of cancer. Obesity significantly impacts bone and joint health in the United States, contributing to the development and progression of various musculoskeletal conditions. These conditions can lead to pain, disability, and decreased quality of life, placing a substantial burden on individuals and the healthcare system. At Haven Rx we feel that GLP-1 agents can help combat this epidemic and help patients achieve their healthcare goals.
Vitamin B12
At HavenRx we feel that vitamin B12 is important and clinically relevant for patients that are treated with GLP-1 agents due to the known decreased vitamin B12 absorption with patients on GLP-1 therapy.
However, we also feel that not much is needed. We are not treating a deficiency we are preventing one. Therefore, our GLP-1 compounded injections will contain 100 mcg of Vitamin B12 (cyanocobalamin) per dose to prevent deficiency.

Reta-GLP is currently not an FDA approved treatment. However, a phase 2 study published in the New England Journal of Medicine demonstrated very favorable results. Some patients may benefit from this medication.
